Cutout Installation

Two exhausts in one — at the flip of a switch.

Exhaust cutouts add a valve to your system that opens to bypass the mufflers for maximum sound and flow, or closes for a quiet, normal drive. Flip a switch or hit the remote — you control the volume.

How It Works

How We Get It Done Right

01

Inspect

We put your vehicle up and check the full system, not just the obvious part.

02

Diagnose

We pinpoint the real cause so you fix the problem, not the symptom.

03

Repair

We fix it right with quality parts matched to how you drive.

04

Verify

We test our work before your vehicle leaves the shop.

The Basics

What is an exhaust cutout?

An exhaust cutout is a valve welded into your exhaust piping, usually ahead of the mufflers. When the valve is closed, your exhaust flows through the system normally — quiet and street-friendly. When you open it, exhaust gases take a shortcut straight out through the valve, bypassing the mufflers for a dramatically louder sound and freer flow.

Electric cutouts, like those from QTP, are controlled by a switch inside the cabin or a wireless remote, so you can change your sound on the fly without crawling under the car. That is what makes them so popular: you get a docile, comfortable exhaust for daily driving and an aggressive, high-flow setup for when you want it — no compromise.

Opening a cutout can be very loud and may not be street-legal everywhere, so we walk you through the trade-offs and install everything cleanly and reliably.

What We Do

We install electric cutouts — primarily QTP — at the ideal point in your system, weld the bungs in clean, and route the wiring and switch or remote so it is tidy and reliable.

Cutouts pair perfectly with a custom cat-back: run it quiet when you need to, then open the valves for full, uncorked volume and flow at the track or on a back road.

What's Included

  • Electric exhaust cutout installation (QTP and others)
  • Single or dual cutout setups
  • Clean bung welding at the optimal location
  • Switch or wireless remote control wiring
  • Integration with new or existing exhaust systems

The best of both worlds, installed right.

Cutouts let you keep it civil and street-legal on the drive to work, then uncork the full sound and flow whenever you want it. We weld them in at the right spot and wire the controls clean.
